Demons and Wizards es el nombre de la banda de Power/Speed/Thrash Metal formada en 1997, que proyectan juntos los líderes de "Iced Earth" y de "Blind Guardian", Jon Schaffer y Hansi Kürsch. Schaffer compone la música y Kürsch escribe las letras. De ahí a que su sonido sea totalmente Iced Earth pero con las geniales voces de Hansi, que nos recordarán tambien a Blind Guardian. No creo que haga falta explicar mucho más, si os gusta algunas de las dos bandas, Demons and Wizards os fascinará seguramente (personalmente, a mi me encantan). Recomiendo sus dos discos. Procedentes de Canadá, Annihilator, es una de las mejores bandas de Thrash Metal del paronama. En sus comienzos hacían un Technical Speed/Thrash Metal y hoy en dia hacen más un Thrash/Groove Metal diría yo. El grupo se formó en 1984 y en general todos sus discos son muy buenos. Su demo y sus primeros álbumes muestran canciones increibles, con una técnica instrumental perfecta. Ésta cualidad la irían desarrollando cada vez más y mejor en posteriores álbumes. Sería una parrafada enorme citaros cada disco (en general todos estan muy bien como ya he dicho) por eso voy a los que yo destacaría: "Alice in Hell" es genial, su sonido es del Thrash Metal más puro y clásico, como sucede en "Never, Neverland". "Waking the fury" es el álbum que despierta una potencia enorme en la banda tras discos no tan potentes como los anteriores a éste. "Metal" es otro disco muy muy bueno, en él podemos encontrar colaboraciones con Alexi Laiho (Children of Bodom), Jesper Strömblad (In Flames), Angela Gossow (Arch Enemy), (Trivium), (Lamb of God).. entre otros, pero en definitiva, es un disco formidable y que engancha. También con esta discografía enorme os traigo su fatástico último disco "Annihilator" el cual también destaco y recomiendo enormemente. Espero que os encante tanto como a mi! Bueno, hoy me estreno en este blog y os traigo desde Alemania a Angel Dust, una formidable y mítica banda de la que podríamos catalogar de forma general como Power/Thrash Metal. En sus comienzos, allá por los años 80 tocaban un Power/Speed/Thrash metal que podemos asemejar a los primeros discos de Blind Guardian en cuanto a sonido y ritmos se refiere. Muy adelantados a su época, siempre se han caracterizado por hacer una música que rompe un poco los esquemas y como prueba de ello son sus dos primeros discos, con potentes y veloces riffs, solos de guitarra de vértigo y con un muy buen Thrash Metal de la vieja escuela muy recomendado para los amantes del género. Tras 10 años sin dar señales de vida por problemas internos, vuelven en 1998, año en el que comienza una nueva etapa en el grupo más Power Metal Melódico pero sin dejar de lado el Speed/Thrash.Su música se asemeja más a bandas del estilo de Iced Earth o Demons & Wizards o los mismos Blind Guardian. En esta nueva etapa añaden teclados que se combinan de una manera genial con las guitarras ahora mucho más melódicas y elaboradas tanto en riffs como en solos. Recomiendo que escuchen Bleed en esta nueva etapa de Angel Dust, sobretodo el primer tema "Bleed". Espero que lo disfrutéis! WarCry Discografia

WarCry es una banda de Power metal fundada en 2001 en Asturias, España, cuando el vocalista victor garcia y baterista Alberto Ardines fueron expulsados de Avalanch. Pablo García y Fernando Mon aparecieron sólo como guitarristas invitados en el álbum debut homónimo, pero se hicieron miembros oficiales en 2002 junto con el bajista Álvaro Jardón y pianista Manuel Ramil. Jardón abandonó la banda a finales de 2003, siendo reemplazado por Roberto García tres meses después.

Al principio, las letras de WarCry estaban centradas en una naturaleza épica y fantástica, con temas medievales y mitológicos y un estilo de power/speed metal con baterías agresivas. Más recientemente, las letras han hecho referencia a experiencias sociales y personales. El estilo musical también cambió hacia tempos más rápidos y armonías de parejas de guitarras como metal power/progresivo. WarCry ha lanzado ya seis álbumes de estudio y uno en vivo, el cual recibió una certificación de oro en España. A pesar de ser una banda relativamente nueva, WarCry ha recibido varios premios y reconocimientos en España, al igual que todos los miembros que han formado parte de ella.

Metallica, Banda de EE.UU. Formanda en 1981... hay ya todo el mundo sabe eso en fin....

No voy a repetir lo que todo el mundo dice de la banda, que si creo el Thrash Metal, que si es la mas importante y blah blah blah.

Blind Guardian Discografia

Blind Guardian es una banda alemana de Power Metal (de hecho una de las tres pioneras junto a Helloween y Stratovarius) fundada en 1984.

El estilo de la banda es el llamado Speed/Power Metal claro que en sus discos posteriores ya se ubicaron mas en lo que se le llama Power Metal ayudando a definir parte del genero.
