Gojira es una joven y revolucionaria banda de Progressive Death Metal nacida en Francia entorno al año 2000. La clasificación genérica que podriamos hacer sobre Gojira podria ser amplia, ya que mezcla varios estilos así como el Thrash Metal, el Death Metal, el Groove Metal y el Progressive Metal. El sonido Thrash se hacen mucho más patentes en su primer disco "Terra Incognita" con mezclas de Thrash/Groove en una base Progressive Death Metal. En mi opinión en sus siguientes álbumes podemos apreciar sobretodo mucho Death Metal Progresivo y, por decirlo de algún modo, dejando en un segundo plano tanto al Groove Metal como el Thrash. Gojira se ha abierto meritoriamente un gran hueco en la escena Metal dando impresionantes directos en los mejores festivales del mundo. Recomiendo todos sus discos, me parecen todos bastante buenos como para decantarme sólo por uno.
