Luca Turilli es el proyecto del fabuloso y virtuoso guitarrista de la banda italiana de Symphonic Power Metal, Rhapsody Of Fire. Se trata de un proyecto en solitario que dio vida en 1999 y que ejecuta, como podreis imaginar, desde un mismo estilo que Rhapsody Of Fire. La banda en sí está formada por grandes artistas de grandes bandas. Olaf Hayer, vocalista de otras bandas como Aina, Treasure Seeker o Magic Kingdom entre otras, presta una genial voz que hace de estos discos, junto con la música del gran Luca, una autentica joya del Power Metal Sinfónico. Su sonido viaja desde las raices de Rhapsody of Fire, son melodías épicas y neoclásicas gracias a sus guitarras, de un nivel muy alto. Recomiendo todos sus discos. serenity es una banda austriaca de Progressive Power Metal formada en el año 2001. Caracterizado por sus geniales melodías y riffs, Serenity se consolida como una de las bandas más emergentes del Power Metal Progresivo actual. Podemos encontrar semejanzas incluso con otras bandas de gran nivel dentro del género Power Metal Melódico/Progresivo como Sonata Arctica. En general todos sus discos son buenos, prácticamente a un mismo nivel musical e instrumental. Es de destacar su último disco "Legacy & Death" debido a las colaboraciones de grandes vocalistas femeninas que presenta tales como Aylin (SIRENIA), Amanda Somerville (AVANTASIA, EPICA, KISKE), Charlotte Wessels (DELAIN)... siendo puramente un disco más enfocado en un Symphonic Power Metal con toques progresivos. Visions Of Atlantis es una banda austriaca formada en el año 2000 que ejecuta un buen Melodic/Symphonic Power Metal. Presenta un estilo muy similar en cuanto a voces y sonido que a Nightwish, quizás más melódicos que éstos. En las voces, encontraremos una alternancia entre voz masculina lírica y femenina principalmente soprano, como Tarja Turunen (Nightwish). A lo largo de su discografía encontraremos un Power Metal muy melódico y lírico que evoluciona de manera muy grata disco tras disco, sobretodo en cuanto a potencia, sonido y melodías. Procedentes de Austria, Edenbridge es un grupo de Symphonic Power Metal formado en 1998. Es una banda del estilo Stratovarious o más bien Nightwish con vocalista femenina pero no tan soprano como Tarja Turunen. Sus guitarras muestran tanto como potencia como carga melódica con buenos teclados, riffs preciosos y solos de guitarra muy buenos. A lo largo de toda su discografía podemos ver una evolución respecto al Melodic Power Metal que presentaba en sus 5 primeros discos más al estilo de Kamelot, con muchos matices de progresivos quizás, pero encontraremos un muy buen Melodic Power Metal que se iría transformando poco a poco a un Symphonic Power Metal. Este cambio a Symphonic Power Metal se hace plenamente patente a partir del disco publicado en el 2008 "MyEarthDream". Su sonido termina en un Symphonic Power Metal enfocado más hacia el Symphonic Gothic Metal que ejecutan bandas como Within Temptation, Sirenia (en su último disco sobretodo), etc... Recomendar discos... pues depende de que os tire más a cada uno, si te gusta el Melodic Power Metal, los 5 primeros discos serán muy de vuestro agrado. Rhapsody Of Fire Discografia

Rhapsody Of fire (Anteriormente solo Rhapsody pero debido a un problema con su disquera se cambiaron el nombre) banda de Trieste, Italia fundada en 1993 y con 7 discos de estudio en su haber.

El estilo de la banda es de Power Metal sinfonico con ciertos toques progresivos muy bien logrados y con una realizacion implecable, claro que sus letras pueden llegar a ser algo frikis.

Cain's Offering banda finlandesa de power metal fundada por Jani Liimatainen luego de dejar Sonata Arctica y con Timo Kotipelto en las vocales, la verdad la banda es execlente mezclando el sonido de sonata en sus primeros discos con las poderosas voces de Timo. Kotipelto es la banda como solista de Timo Kotipelto (que original eh?) bastante buena con un sonido un poco mas ligero que stratovarius sin dejar de ser rapido o pesado, no se si me doy a enterder osea es contundente de cierta forma, pero a su vez no tanto como stratovarius si te gusta la susodicha esta de mas decir que esta banda te encantara aunque para los que les guste Stratato solo "a medias" encontraran a Kotipelto muy tediosa. Nightwish, banda de metal sinfonico de finlandia (oficialmente y para muchos es power pero nunca le he podido encontrar dicho genero, para mi es gothic mayormente y ya el caso es que es exelente) una de las bandas que mas me metio en este genero la verdad es una muy buena banda en especial sus primeros 3 discos y en el 4to La voz de Marco Heitala Complemento a la banda dandole un toque unico con una poderosa, limpia y melodica voz Si bien uno de los mas grandes errores de Nightwish fue expulsar a Tarja e incluir a Annette Olzon NO es que su voz sea mala ni mucho menos, solo que seria como tirar a la basura tu televisor de plasma de 42 pulgadas para comprarte uno de tubo de 14 y hoy en dia pues Nightwish no pasa a ser mas que una banda mas de disque metal como evanesense o como se escriba aunque bueno... siempre esta la esperanza del siguiente disco sea mejor. afortunadamente Dark Passion Play no es malo del todo no, de hecho se como la banda se esforso al maximo por llenar el hueco que dejo tarja ejemplo mas claro "the poet and the pendulum" pero en otras canciones pareciara que ellos trataran de adaptarse a Annette y no al reves como deberia de ser ejemplo mas claro "Bye Bye Beatifull" cancion que obiamente esta dedicada a Tarja. Personalmente como creo que ya lo dije los discos que recomiendo son los primeros 4 pero no por eso once no es exelente de hecho ese disco trae la obra maestra de Nightwish que a mi parecer es "Ghots Love Score".
