Akercocke es una banda inglesa de Progressive Black/Death Metal formada en 1997. Son muy conocidos y por supuesto aparte de por su genial música, son conocidos por ir siempre caracterizados con trajes elegantes en conciertos y videoclips. Akercocke, con una fuerte y extrema lírica blasfema y satánica acompañada de guturales voces y gritos desgarrados, conforman una música muy trallera a la vez que aberrantemente buena.
Su sonido es genial. La intercalación de voces guturales, muy guturales y desgarradas son geniales, un sonido aveces muy Brutal Death Metal que pasa por el Black Metal con carácter progresivo. De fondo una oscura atmósfera siempre envolviendo a todos sus temas. Sus melodías son oscuras y dementes. La mezcla de tralla y caña se fusiona a la vez con ritmos y riffs mas lentos y lúgubres.
Recomiendo sus tres últimos discos, en especial, "Choronzon" el cual personalmente es mi favorito.
