Battlelore es una banda finlandesa de Symphonic Folk Metal formada en 1999. Su estilo pasa por el bandas como Epica, pero a diferencia de ésta, es muchisimo menos operística en cuanto a música y a voz. Se trata de un Folk menos agresivo a lo que nos tienen acostumbrados bandas del género pero que tienen muy buenas melodías bastante pegadizas y corales con temática referente a El Señor de los Anillos. En sus primeros discos noto un cierto transfondo Power Metal que iria desapareciendo poco a poco a lo largo de sus discos.
Si hay algo que pueda decir en contra de Battlelore es que aveces suenan demasiado suaves en muchas canciones (no siempre) y personalmente a mi ésto incluso me llega a aburrir, pero esto no le quita que tengan temas fantásticos y que no merezcan la pena oirlos.
Recomiendo "Sword's Song" y especialmente "Third age of the Sun" (el segundo y tercer tema son muy buenos). También merece mención su (para mi) mejor y último disco "The Last Alliance" y el buenísimo tema Voice of the Fallen que aconsejo que escuchen si quieren engancharse a la banda.
