Sonata Arctica es una banda finesa de power metal, en sus principios al menos, ahora es mas progresivo y melodico, tendiendo a melodias suaves y un poco lentas en comparacion con su estilo anterior, antes eran un power metal melodico/sinfonico bastante epico dentro de lo que cabe, destacando lo que son Ecliptica y Silence que a mi gusto son sus mejores discos.
