Absu es una mítica banda de Black Metal nacida entorno al año 1991 conformándose como una de las primeras bandas de Black Metal de la escena Estadounidense.
Su estilo pasa por un Death Metal muy a la vieja escuela (en sus primeros discos) que iria transformándose más en Black Metal , pero no tiene nada que ver con el Black Metal noruego, sino es un Black Metal con mucha base de Thrash Metal y de Death Metal unido con mucho Folk presentado en forma de gaitas y pasajes Folk dentro de sus temas en los que el género Black se abriría camino siendo el género principal y más visible dentro de su música.
Tras años sin material y tiempo desaparecido de la escena por problemas de todo tipo, Absu vuelven para esclarecerse como uno de los mayores progenitores del género Black Metal. Os recomiendo sus tres últimos discos, que para mi gusto son los mejores. Destacando sobretodo el último "Abzu" en el cual muestran un potente y puro Black Metal que hará seguramente las delicias de los mas fervientes amantes del género.
